Report: Court's rebuke likely to push software maker toward a deal
NEW YORK (CNNfn) - Microsoft Corp. is likely to strive harder for a deal with the Justice Department after a federal appeals court denied the company's request to delay proceedings pending its request for a Supreme Court review of its antitrust case, according to a published report Monday. 




WASHINGTON — More than 30,000 people were charged with federal drug offenses in 1999, more than double the number 15 years earlier, and most of those convicted were drug traffickers, a Justice Department study released Sunday says. Ninety-one percent were convicted of trafficking.
